Is Jesus Green?

Thursday, March 20, 2008

Yesterday evening we hosted a discussion on the UNC campus centered around the question of “Is Jesus Green?”. With the environment being of utmost concern, we find it necessary confront the stereotype that the environment (and its wellbeing) are low if non-existent priorities for the Christian. We’re convicted that God has called us to care for the planet on which we live, and are excited to be a part of a community that is making a difference in this area.  Perhaps the most important thing to come from this first meeting was that a good way to start breaking these stereotypes is for Environmentalists and Christians just to sit down together and get to know one another.
